A musical tribute was given by Vince Gill to his wife, Amy Grant, and he welcomed a very special guest to share the stage with him: their daughter, Corinna Gill.

Taste of Country reports that Gill, who has been touring with the Eagles in recent years, was joined by his daughter during a performance at Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium, while Grant recovers from a recent bicycle accident that has forced her to cancel several tour dates.

Gill welcomed his daughter at the end of his concert on Thursday, Aug. 4, for a duet of the song “When My Amy Prays”, which is from his 2019 album Okie, in which he sings about Grant’s strong Christian faith and his own struggles with religion.

In a fan-shot video taken from the show – part of Gill’s four-night residency at the Ryman – Corrina can be seen becoming tearful as she sings during her performance.

“You know what, when I pray, I’m just like my dad,” she tells the audience, pointing to changing Gill’s lyric from “when my Amy prays” to “when my mama prays.”

Earlier this month, Grant’s Instagram followers learned that Grant had been injured when her bicycle smashed into a pothole while she was riding it, and that she was thrown from the bike as a result.

The post, which was posted on Grant’s official Instagram account, stated in part: “Following a brief hospitalization for Amy, during which she was treated for her injuries, doctors have ordered additional recovery time at home for Amy, where she is now resting comfortably.”.
