As A Small Plane Crashed Onto The 91 Freeway, It Erupted In Flames

The 91 Freeway in Riverside County, California, was closed for several hours Tuesday afternoon after a small plane crashed and burst into flames, causing major traffic backups.

Fortunately, no one was seriously injured as a result of the incident.

There was an incident that was first reported around 12:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the freeway near the Buena Vista Avenue exit.

crashing into the freeway in between moving cars, then leaving a trail of fuel and fire as it slides toward the sound barrier as it crashes into barrier.

There is no information as to whether any vehicles were struck by the plane.

According to the California Highway Patrol, both the pilot and a passenger survived and did not require medical assistance as a result of the accident.
