‘Batman: Caped Crusader’: Apple TV+, Netflix, and Hulu are all interested in acquiring HBO Max’s series
As the highly anticipated Batman: Caped Crusader approaches its release date, competition is already fierce.
As a result of Warner Bros. In spite of the fact that Discovery scratched the animated series from its HBO Max lineup, production continued so that it could be sold to other streaming platforms in order to get a higher price for the series than the one that their own platform would offer.
There is little chance that fans will have to worry about the show finding a home, since Apple TV+, Netflix, and Hulu are all in hot pursuit of the show, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision newsletter.
The report confirms that the string of cancellations of original projects, which included Merry Little Batman, The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Toons Movie, Bye Bye Bunny: A Looney Toons Musical, Did I Do That to the Holidays: A Steve Urkel Story, and The Amazing World of Gumball: The Movie, were almost entirely about money and did not matter what quality the project delivered.

There is no doubt that Warner Bros. is in good hands under David Zaslav. It would be nice if Discovery could get back to the days when they were able to sell their originals to other outlets instead of just locking them up to HBO Max.

I’m sure this will come as a shock to creators, but fans who are eager to see these shows come to life will breathe a big sigh of relief when this news is announced.
In the midst of Warner Bros’ big budget cutbacks, Caped Crusader was not the only product that was shelved.
As far as the Discovery shakeup goes, it is probably the most high-profile and the one that fans were the most interested in, thanks to the people behind it, in part.
As co-creator of Batman: The Animated Series, Bruce Timm is creating this series as a reimagining of that world that he was unable to work on in the 1990s, with a more mature tone than he was permitted to work with at the time.
As the title suggests, it is set to follow the earlier days of Batman’s crime-fighting career in which he relies more on his wit than the array of gadgetry he normally employs to fight crime.

Despite the fact that this show won’t be a direct continuation of Timm’s previous work, he assured us that it will be as close as possible to a continuation using modern tools in order to create a show as visually distinct as its predecessor was.
Timm is joined by J.J. Abrams, James Tucker, and Matt Reeves as executive producers. Ed Brubaker, a renowned comic writer, will take on head writing duties for the series, which is packed with people who know everything about Batman.
Despite Warner Bros.’ shakeups. Batman has emerged relatively unscathed from the rubble.
Reeves’ signing confirms that plans for DC on the big screen run through Gotham for the near future despite the cancellation of Batgirl.
The first run of Reeves’ World’s Greatest Detective surpassed the $750 million mark at the box office and became a legitimate award contender.
