Elon Musk, the CEO and founder of popular American company Tesla, has disclosed that he is not focused on acquiring Twitter.

The Dogecoin proponent noted that less than 5% of his time is dedicated to the Twitter deal because acquiring the social media company is not a difficult task for him. He noted that he has been focused on his electric car company Tesla at all times.

“To be clear, I’m spending <5% (but actually) of my time on Twitter acquisition. It ain’t rocket science! Yesterday was Giga Texas, today is Starbase. Tesla is on my mind 24/7,” Musk said on Twitter.

The Tesla boss proceeded to share a photo of a man with his partner, who got distracted by another lady that walked past him. The man in the photo was labeled Elon, his partner is Tesla, while the lady causing the distraction was tagged Twitter.

Commenting on the photo, Musk said: “So may seem like below, but not true.”

Musk Moves Slowly to Acquire Twitter

Since the Twitter board agreed to sell the social media company to Musk, the world has been anticipating interesting news from the Tesla exec.

However, aside from investments made by a few companies, including Binance, to finance the deal, not much progress has been made.

Musk shocked his followers on Tuesday this week when he disclosed that the Twitter deal will not move forward until the company’s CEO shows the extent of bot activities on the microblogging platform.

According to the Tesla exec, contrary to claims by the Twitter CEO that bots control only 5% of all accounts on the social media platform, there are actually 20% bots-owned Twitter accounts.

He added that renegotiating the Twitter deal from the previously agreed $44 billion to a lower amount was not out of the question.

His recent allegations that bots own 20% of Twitter accounts plunged the price of the company’s shares by 19% a few hours after the comment was made.

Musk Against Twitter Bots

It is worth noting that Musk has frowned against bots’ activities on social media platforms, as he revealed earlier that one of the reasons he wants to take over Twitter was to eliminate bots and their actors.

He disclosed that he would eliminate Twitter spam bots or die trying.
