For The First Time In History, Argentina Defeats The New Zealand All-blacks In The Rugby Championship

Today, Argentina beat the All Blacks for the first time on New Zealand soil with a 25-18 victory in a Rugby Championship test at Christchurch which was played this morning.

It was two years ago that the Pumas achieved their first-ever win over New Zealand in another Rugby Championship match in Sydney.

Julian Montoya, the captain of the team, told reporters that he was very proud of his team. He said that the team had started to believe what they could do, not just a magical moment like the first win in Sydney.

As a family, we are very, very happy, very, very proud of this accomplishment, it is truly a very special moment for us.”

As a result, the boot of winger Emiliano Boffelli, who kicked five penalties throughout the contest, kept them in the contest when New Zealand scored two tries in the first half and kept them in the lead after flanker Juan Martin Gonzalez scored an opportunist try in the second half.

There is no doubt that New Zealand will almost certainly be plunged back into the crisis that was apparently resolved when their victory over South Africa two weeks ago appeared to have put an end to it. After Shannon Frizell was shown a yellow card during the last nine minutes, the Black Caps played with 14 men for the final nine minutes.

The tries scored by Samisoni Taukei’aho and Caleb Clarke should have given them a comfortable lead at halftime, but ill discipline throughout the match cost them dearly.

For the first time in history, Argentina has now won consecutive matches in the Rugby Championship after their impressive 48-17 victory over Australia two weeks ago in San Juan.

As a result, they remain on top of the championship standings on points difference ahead of Australia, which earlier won 25-17 against South Africa in Adelaide.
