According to Forbes, the wealth of Gautam Adani and his family, who own $115 billion in assets, overtook Gates, who owned $120 billion in assets prior to his death.

As the chairman of the Adani Group, the Indian business mogul, who is also the richest person in the world, had become the fifth most wealthy person in the world earlier this year and had not only become the richest Asian.

In accordance with data from Forbes’ Real-Time Billionaires List, the Adani family owns a fortune of $115.6 billion, which is about $11 billion more than Bill Gates’ fortune of $104.2 billion, based on data from Forbes.

Earlier this year, Adani was the fifth richest person in the world with a wealth of around $123 billion, which was about $7 billion short of Bill Gates who had a fortune of $130.2 billion at the time of his becoming the fifth richest person in the world.

With a fortune worth $154.9 billion, whose empire comprises ports, mines, and green energy, Adani is now behind only three other business tycoons in the world – Bernard Arnault, whose fortune is estimated at $143.9 billion, Jeff Bezos, head of Amazon, with an estimated net worth of $143.9 billion, and Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, whose fortune is estimated at $234.4 billion.

The current estimated net worth of Gautam Adani is $115.6 billion, making him one of the richest people in India at the moment.

According to Forbes magazine, the wealth of the Indian tycoon has more than doubled since the beginning of 2021.

As a result, he was listed as one of the World’s Billionaires on the Forbes list for the first time in 2008, with a net worth of $9.3 billion at that time.

In a bid to mark his 60th birthday, Adani had pledged to make a donation to the charity of Rs 60,000 crore in honor of his birthday.

According to a statement issued by his logistics-to-energy conglomerate, the donated funds will be used to support healthcare, education, and skill development in the community.

In addition, it was the largest charitable donation in the history of any Indian company, joining the ranks of global billionaires such as Mark Zuckerberg and Warren Buffett.

In spite of this, the former Microsoft chief’s rank has fallen with Gautam Adani now taking over the former Microsoft chief’s position as a result of the donation announced by Bill Gates.

The money that I am giving you is not a sacrifice in any sense of the word. As a result, I feel privileged to be involved in tackling these great challenges.

I am enjoying the work, and I believe that I owe it to society to return my resources in ways that will be most beneficial to improving the quality of life for all people.

Gates had said before the shuffle that he hoped others in positions of great wealth and privilege would also step up in the face of this moment,” Gates had said before the shuffle took place.
