In a statement, the Trump family confirmed that Ivana Trump, the first wife of former President Donald Trump, passed away at the age of 73.
According to Trump’s statement on Truth Social, his first wife “led an inspiring, beautiful, and wonderful life.”

It was shared on Instagram by her son Eric Trump that a post was made in memory of her mother, Ivana Trump.
The president wrote, “Our mother was an extraordinary woman – a business leader, an athlete, a radiant beauty, a mother and friend who fled communism and embraced this country.” She fled communism and embraced this country. As a mother, she instilled qualities such as grit, toughness, compassion, and determination in her children.”
Ivana Trump was found unresponsive by police and pronounced dead at the scene by Emergency Medical Services, according to the New York Police Department. The city’s medical examiner will determine the cause of death since there were no signs of foul play.
In her biography on the website of talent agency CMG Worldwide, Ivana Trump says that she was raised in Gottwaldov, Czechoslovakia, south of Prague. As a ski instructor, she began modeling in the 1970s after moving to Canada.
Getting married to Donald Trump
During a work trip to New York in 1976, she met Donald Trump. According to the biography, the couple married in 1977.
Besides Donald Trump Jr., he was followed by daughter Ivanka and son Eric in 1981 and 1984, respectively.
In a social media post-Thursday, Donald Trump announced the death of his first wife, Ivana Trump, in New York City.
“I am deeply saddened to inform all who loved her, and there are many, that Ivana Trump passed away at her home in New York City,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
I had the pleasure of knowing her and she was a wonderful, beautiful, amazing woman who led a great and inspiring life.
Among his greatest pride and joys were his three children: Donald Jr, Ivanka, and Eric.
As we were all proud of her, she was very proud of them. Ivana, may you rest in peace.”
A family statement was released by Trump. Our family mourns the loss of our beloved mother, Ivana Trump. “Mom was an incredible woman, a businesswoman, an athlete, a mother, and a friend.”
