There is some good news for those who are wondering what Marty Stuart has been up to and when he might release new music soon.
Ahead Of His Tour, Marty Stuart Signs With A New Record Label
It has been announced that Marty Stuart has signed with the European label Snakefarm Records, as announced on Friday (8-12). As far as I know, it is not owned by Ray Wylie Hubbard.
Snake farm Records is a subsidiary of Spinefarm Records, whose parent company is Universal Music Group, and is a subsidiary of the record label Spinefarm Records.
The news comes just as Marty is about to embark on a European tour, and hopefully, he will be able to announce some new music as well.
Despite its reputation as a heavy metal label, Spinefarm Records also has a lot of ties to American music and country music in particular through its Snakefarm imprint.
Furthermore, the label is the home of Texas music artist Austin Meade as well as Whiskey Myers, Marcus King, and even major label artists such as Eric Church and Kip Moore, in addition to being the record label for Austin Meade.
It is often the case that country artist who does not necessarily fit the pop country mold do very well in Europe, and sometimes even better than they do here in the States. In that respect, Marty Stuart certainly qualifies as one of the best.
The idea of joining forces with Snakefarm sounds like a good one to me. It is fascinating to me how the brand has a global mindset in addition to the aura of musical integrity that surrounds the brand.
Just a few days before he embarks on his European tour (see dates below), Stuart states that he is looking forward to a long line of thrilling musical adventures in the days ahead.
Marty Stuart released his highly regarded album Way Out West five years ago, and now he is back with another album.
There have been some re-releases and other projects since then, but fans have been salivating for some new music from him ever since. A song project called Songs I Sing in the Dark was announced by Stuart in March of 2021, which was supposed to be a 20-song venture where he would release a cover song every month for a year.
In spite of this, Stuart stopped just a few songs into the set without giving any explanation whatsoever. He may have changed his calculation as a result of the deal with Snakefarm.

In addition to that, Marty Stuart is still working hard to get his Congress of Country Music off the ground in Philadelphia, Mississippi.
He also held a symposium for the industry earlier this summer when he played his long-running Late Night Jam at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and raised awareness about the project that will eventually house his some 20,000 pieces of country music memorabilia (see the video below for more information).
We expect the first phase of the project to open within the next couple of months, with Philadelphia’s historic 500-seat Ellis Theater set to begin hosting performances within the next few months.
