The NHTSA Is Investigating 1.7 Million Ford And Lincoln Vehicles For Possible Brake Issues

An investigation is currently being conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) into reports of front brake failures on Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ sedans.

An investigation is currently being conducted into the reported rupture and leakage of the front brake lines on these Ford sedans that could lead to the failure of the braking system as a result.

Ford and the NHTSA have been working together to find a solution to the 50 complaints that have been received so far.

The NHTSA investigation follows a string of 50 complaints relating to front brake lines on Ford Fusion sedans from 2013 to 2018, as well as Lincoln MKZ sedans from 2013 to 2018.

The front brake lines on these sedans are allegedly ruptured or leaking fluid without any warning in response to the complaints made by the owners.

In the event of a leak of brake fluid, the braking system would no longer be able to function properly, causing a host of safety concerns.

It is currently not known if there are any recalls for the Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ sedans manufactured from 2013 to 2018 due to brake problems.

In order to gather more information about this situation, NHTSA is currently working with Ford in order to gather more information about this issue before a solution is put in place.

In the event that NHTSA does not require a full recall of the vehicles following the conclusion of the investigation, Ford may issue a voluntary recall.

For a simple part that could have serious consequences, it would make sense to offer a remedy for customers who own Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ sedans manufactured from 2013 to 2018.

As part of the recall, it is possible that the front brake lines may have to be replaced with a braking system bleed to ensure that there are no air bubbles present in the braking system.

If there are air bubbles in the braking fluid, the system won’t function properly and may not be able to provide consistent stopping power as a result.

If any problems are found during the NHTSA’s investigation, this simple fix should fix them.

From 2013 to 2018, Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ sedans were the brand’s last sedans before they moved to only selling SUVs and trucks as the brand’s model lineup.

As a result of the NHTSA’s investigation, Ford will make sure that owners of the final run of sedans are taken care of following the completion of this final run.
