Philadelphia Eagles News: A.J. Brown poised for “Terrell Owens-level debut”

As a rookie with the Philadelphia Eagles, A.J. Brown has a Terrell Owens-like debut.

It goes without saying that the Hall of Famer hit paydirt three times in his first game with Philadelphia in 2004.

It was Brown who went for 200 yards and three touchdowns on Sunday against the Lions. There is no doubt that this trade was worth it.

I’m going to go with A.J. Brown for this one. There’s just a complete mismatch in terms of skills here. On the outside, it looks like the Detroit Lions (+14.5) don’t have the horses to compete.

It was a terrible season for Jeff Okudah. He allowed a 121.8 passer rating to them last season, and now he is going up against A.J. Brown, a guy who has been taking on No. 1 CBS ever since he entered the league with Ryan Tannehill as his quarterback and has produced great results.

There is no doubt that this is an absolute mismatch, Philly against Detroit, in the first week of the season.

There is a good chance that A.J. Brown is going to surpass 25 DK fantasy points in the near future.

The number of touchdowns scored by A.J. Brown is 0.5. The signing of A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles is the spiritual successor to the addition of Terrell Owens back in 2004.

Since Owens, who totaled 14 touchdowns in just 14 games in 2004, Brown is the best receiver the franchise has had since Owens.

The city went wild when T.O. scored three touchdowns against the Giants in his first game as a Hawk.

There is no guarantee that Brown will score three touchdowns, but the fact that he will start his Eagles career off on such a high note seems all too fitting.

For those who are superstitious and who place entirely too much weight on a team’s uniform decisions, the Eagles will be wearing white jerseys and green pants in Detroit, just as they did for Owens’ debut with the Eagles back in 2007.

There will be a lot of attention on Sunday as AJ Brown makes his Eagles debut.

The amount of hype surrounding an Eagles receiver hasn’t been this high since TO came to town back in 2004.

There is no need for Brown to catch three touchdown passes, but I am very excited to see what he brings to the passing game as he takes the field.

Regardless of whether or not the ball comes to him, he will be able to affect the defense.

There are times when I watch A.J. Brown making these absurd catches in practice and I can’t believe he’s actually here and I can’t believe he’s still there. He was flat-out stolen by the Eagles.

The Cowboys really acquired a 24-year-old stud wide receiver (now 25 years old) for a mid-1st-round pick and a 3rd-round pick from the 2015 draft?

Is there any way that you can lock him up through the year 2025 with a four-year contract? There is no doubt that this will go down in history as one of Howie Roseman’s greatest moves.

I knew Brown was a good player, but what I saw during the preseason really caught my attention. It turns out that he is a lot better than I thought he would be.

It’s a whole lot better than before. Fast, tough, hard-nosed, physical, and aggressive. There is plenty of swagger in his step.

As a 25-year-old wide receiver, Brown is one of only five players in NFL history to have 150 catches, 20 touchdown catches, and a 16.0 average before he turns 25. In fact, he could be better than ever this fall than he has ever been before. There is going to be a lot of fun in this.

Eagles defense vs. Lions offense preview by the numbers – BGN

On the whole, the Lions were not a scary offense last season, and if you stopped the backs and tight ends on offense, you were pretty much able to stop them on offense.

I think there will be a slight difference this year as Amon-Ra St. Brown will be in his second season, but I think DJ Chark will be the wildcard this year.

When you look at how bad the Lions were throwing deep outside the numbers last year, you’ll see why they added DJ Chark to their team.

There was not a lot he did last year, but he has shown in the past that he can be a threat, so the Eagles should pay attention to him this year.

Which team is too overconfident heading into its first game of the season? Sando: I don’t know how to measure overconfidence across the league, but this offseason has been all about the Eagles’ incredible roster, without much regard for some of the risks associated with some of the players the team is counting on.

In my opinion, I would expect Philly to beat the Lions in the season opener. There is a good chance that Philly will expect to win that game as well.

At the same time, the Eagles were trailing 31-0 through three-quarters of their last playoff game the last time we saw them. I seem to have totally forgotten about that.

2022 NFL Predictions: Super Bowl LVII, Playoff Picks, Award Winners, and More – SI

It is the Eagles that I believe are going to make a big jump in the NFC in the next few years, now that they have an explosive No. 1 receiver in A.J. Brown and possess one of the best offensive and defensive lines in the league.

Having gone through the NFC, my impression is that there are not many good teams, and the conference clearly has a lesser number of elite teams than the AFC.

There was a time when, before he contributed to the Rockstarz, the QB showed up unannounced at the home of a 7-year-old cancer patient with $30,000 of his own money.

This June, he lent his even-keeled voice to the End Philly Gun Violence campaign, promoting weapon buybacks alongside local police to “get artillery off the streets.” In addition, he recently hit the walk-off home run for St. Luke’s University hospitals at a celebrity softball game organized by teammate DeVonta Smith.

He surprised middle-schoolers in the Philadelphia area in August by partnering with Kellogg’s to deliver $75K for the creation of local flag football teams.
