In an aggressive response to disturbing allegations that Ricky Martin abused his nephew, an attorney for the singer has stated that the allegations were “not only untrue but distasteful.”

There was a restraining order served on Martin in early July on the basis of domestic abuse, which was the reason for the restraining order.

The Spanish news site Marca reported on Friday that the singer’s brother, Eric Martin, came forward with information that the alleged victim’s age is 21, as the singer’s 21-year-old nephew has been identified by TMZ.

It is not surprising that Martin Singer, an attorney, asserts that his nephew suffers from severe mental health issues.

Singer said in a statement to Variety that Ricky Martin has never been – and would never be – involved in any sort of sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew, and will never engage in any such relationship in the future.

In my opinion, this idea, in addition to being untrue, is also revolting. I am sure we all hope that this man is able to get the help he desperately needs as soon as possible. In the end, we look forward to the day when we are able to have a judge look at the facts and dismiss this awful case.”

The petitioner had not been identified at the time of the restraining order being presented on July 2. El Vocero, a Puerto Rican news outlet, reported that Martin had allegedly been harassed by someone he had been dating for seven months. During this time, the petitioner stated that Martin had denied the break-up and had been spotted several times near their home after the break-up.

According to TMZ, Martin is due in court on July 21, where a judge will decide whether to continue the restraining order or to dismiss it, based on the court’s decision.

In addition to his current legal troubles, the singer is also facing a lawsuit from his former manager, claiming that he owes her $3 million in commissions that she did not receive.
