After an extended anticipation, Mahindra has unveiled its two new electric vehicles – the Mahindra BE 6e and the XEV 9e.
Notably, the Mahindra BE 6e marks the inaugural offering from the manufacturer’s newly launched electric-only ‘BE’ sub-brand. With its bold design both inside and out, the BE 6e distinguishes itself from other electric vehicles in the market. Let us examine the BE 6e in greater detail through the accompanying images.
The Mahindra BE 6e showcases a striking and assertive front design characterized by pronounced cuts and creases. The bonnet features a functional air intake scoop and displays an illuminated ‘BE’ emblem. It is equipped with horizontally arranged LED projector headlights, framed by C-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs). Consistent with typical electric vehicle design, the grille is sealed.
The bumper is finished in black, with the area between the headlights and DRLs painted in the vehicle’s body color. Additional elements of the front design include a silver skid plate, front parking sensors, and LED fog lights.
The dynamic lines of the Mahindra BE 6e extend along its side profile, accentuated by gloss black cladding over the wheel arches that runs the length of the SUV. This cladding, featuring angular edges, displays the ‘INGLO’ badge on the lower section of the rear door.
The front doors are equipped with flush-fitting handles, while the rear door handles are seamlessly integrated into the C-pillar. Contrasting black finishes are present on the A- and B-pillars, as well as the outside rearview mirrors. The SUV is fitted with 19-inch aerodynamically designed alloy wheels, with an option for 20-inch wheels available.
The Mahindra BE 6e provides a boot space of 455 liters and includes a 45-liter storage compartment under the bonnet, commonly referred to as a frunk (front trunk).
Inside, the Mahindra BE 6e features a dual-tone interior theme. It is equipped with a two-spoke steering wheel, embellished with an illuminated ‘BE’ logo. Behind the steering wheel, two free-standing screens are elegantly housed under a single glass panel.
