Ukrainian forces on Monday continued efforts to slow the advance of Russian troops onto the eastern cities of Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk. As well as firing artillery from a distance, they engaged the enemy in quick hit-and-run sorties using battle tanks. Some troops engaged in the fighting in the Donbas region were seen using a T-80 tank that they claimed had been captured from the Russian army.
