A $13 million Chargers linebacker ripped Colin Kaepernick for begging for a comeback after calling it slavery: Antonio Brown called the former quarterback trash and said he took money from the NFL.

Throughout the course of his career, Colin Kaepernick has faced plenty of criticism, and Antonio Brown is another individual who has jumped on his back.

With Alex Smith out, Kaep got his chance, and he made the most of it. On the back of a special defense, Kaepernick led the 49ers to a 12-4 record in the 2012-13 season after Alex Smith's time was up.

That year, they made the Super Bowl and came close to pulling off a stunning comeback, but ultimately lost 34-31 to the Baltimore Ravens.

After that, Kaepernick suffered injuries, and things came to a head when he began kneeling during the national anthem in 2016.

There were some who did not approve of Kaepernick's protest. They felt that there was a better way to make his point and that he was disrespecting the American flag and the soldiers who stood for it.

Others felt Kaepernick's attempt to return to the NFL was nothing more than a money grab. Kaepernick was attacked by Antonio Brown.

In every one of his media outtakes and promotions, Kaepernick made money according to the former Pro Bowl receiver.

"Colin Kaepernick doesn't want to play man," he said. As soon as he took the money, he was trash."

Despite it, I put on a smile. I'm saying Colin Kaepernick created all the commotion and won the cut. I am in people's faces every day."

Former Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman, who made the Pro Bowl three times and has a net worth of $13 million, echoed Brown's comments.

"He took money from the NFL. Settlement. All these things... and all these opportunities he has had to get back in the NFL, but he hasn't."

The net worth of Colin Kaepernick is around $22 million. Through his Nike deal, he earned $126 million, and he continues to fight for social justice.

With a net worth of $20 million, Antonio Brown is currently out of the NFL after storming off the field mid-game last season.
