In a July 21 court appearance, Ricky Martin's nephew formally withdrawn his harassment and affair claims against him.
In early July, Martin was served with a restraining order, claiming domestic abuse.
TMZ reported Friday that Martin's brother, Eric Martin, identified the alleged victim as his 21-year-old nephew, according to Marca.
Lawyer Martin Singer, however, says Martin's nephew "faces deep mental health challenges."
According to Singer, he has never had a sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew and will never do so," he said. The idea is not only untrue but disgusting as well.
We all hope that this man gets the help he needs as soon as possible. Most importantly, we hope this horrible case will be dismissed as soon as a judge examines the facts."
The petitioner was not identified when the restraining order was presented on July 2.
Apparently, Martin's seven-month girlfriend took the action, as reported by El Vocero. Martin was spotted several times near the couple's home, according to the petitioner.
In an upcoming court hearing, Martin's restraining order will be upheld or terminated, according to TMZ.
Currently, he is being sued for $3 million by his former manager who claims he owes her unpaid commissions.
