Since Bungie teased Destiny 2: Lightfall more than two years ago, players have taken control of the Darkness, fought Savathûn and her undead army, and... Witnesses.

As Destiny 2: Lightfall launches on February 28th, the game's cyberpunk world, new Strand subclasses, and more are all set to shake things up.

The setting for Bungie's Destiny 2: Lightfall is an unusual cyberpunk location for a Bungie game....

A hidden Neomuna city on Neptune serves as the dystopian future setting for Destiny 2's continuing storyline, which sees Calus returning as the main antagonist.

In its quest to destroy the equally mysterious Traveler, the Witness, a mysterious humanoid villain, has Calus on its side.

Neomuna, Neptune's capital city, has bright neon lights everywhere and an aurora borealis-like illumination. It's a secret, technologically advanced city unlike anything else in the Destiny universe.

There are also new Cloud Striders that protect Neomuna, as well as the Shadow Legion Cabal faction and huge Tormentors that can attack from a distance.

Additionally, Bungie is making Destiny 2: Lightfall more accessible to new and old players alike. In Destiny 2, players can identify experienced players using Guardian ranks.

A built-in looking for group (LFG) system will also be added to Bungie's game in 2023. The new commendations system also allows players to show appreciation to their teammates.

The quality of life improvements also include a mod manager and in-game loadouts. Destiny 2 players have had to use third-party tools for years, so an internal feature would be welcome.

The King's Fall raid returns on Friday, originally part of The Taken King expansion. We're nearing Destiny 2: Lightfall, Fortnite and Fall Guys crossover, and Destiny 2 on Epic Games.
