Emilia Clarke from Game of Thrones has spoken out about the impact two aneurysms have had on her brain and how it has impacted her physical and mental health.

While portraying Daenerys Targaryen in the hit fantasy series, the British actor suffered two aneurysms in 2011 and 2013.

During an interview with Sunday Live on the weekend, Emilia said she was "remarkable" to be able to lead the life she does due to the impact of her health condition.

“Considering how much of my brain is no longer usable, I can speak - sometimes articulately! She explained that she is completely normal and has never suffered from any repercussions.

That is so close to impossible for me and I'm among the very, very, very small minority of people who have been able to do it.

A scan of Emilia's brain revealed that parts of her brain were missing, thereby making her laugh....

Because strokes happen when a part of your brain does not receive blood for a second. Consequently, the blood finds a different route to get around, but the missing bit is lost."

Her acting career is complemented by her work with the charity SameYou, which aims to improve the emotional, mental, and cognitive recovery of brain injury survivors and their families.
