The "Euphoria" star Maude Apatow has responded to suggestions that her career success is the result of industry nepotism, having been dubbed a "nepotism baby."

In the HBO series, she plays high schooler Lexi Howard, the eldest daughter of director Judd Apatow and actress Leslie Mann. 

She has starred in a number of other projects in recent years, including her father's films, "Knocked Up" and "This is 40."

"I try not to let it bother me because I know how fortunate I am," Apatow told Net-A-Porter. Many people [in a similar position] have proven themselves over the years, so I need to keep working hard."

Since I'm so young in my career, I don't have much to show yet, but I hope one day I'll be proud of the work I've done by myself."
