In the second one-day international, India beat West Indies by two wickets to clinch the series with a brilliant batting display from Axar Patel

In the chase, Shreyas Iyer (63), and Sanju Samson (54) scored half-centuries, but Axar Patel's unbeaten 35-ball 64 ultimately helped India win by two wickets.

Despite failing to close the game, Axar remained unbeaten on 64 for India. In the slog overs, Patel smashed his maiden ODI half-century in 27 balls and took the game away from West Indies.

When things were not going well for India, Shreyas and Samson shared a crucial 99-run stand. As part of a 51-run partnership with Axar, Deepak Hooda also scored 33 runs.

During the last 10 overs, the Windies lost the game despite Shai Hope's century in his 100th ODI match.

The West Indies produced a solid batting display to post 311 for six with Hope scoring a magnificent century and skipper Pooran smashing sixes.

In his 115-run innings, Hope built partnerships well and exploded at the end. In his 135-ball knock, he hit 8 fours and 3 sixs. Against Pooran's 77 balls, he scored 74 with 6 six and 1 four.
