As announced in a statement, former President Donald Trump's first wife Ivana Trump passed away at 73 years old.

Donald Trump said in a statement posted on Truth Social that his first wife "led a wonderful, beautiful, and inspiring life."

In memory of his mother, Ivana Trump, her son Eric Trump shared a post on Instagram in memory of her mother.

The president wrote, "Our mother was an extraordinary woman - a business leader, an athlete, a radiant beauty, a mother and friend who fled communism and embraced this country.

"She fled communism and embraced this country. As a mother, she instilled qualities such as grit, toughness, compassion, and determination in her children."

The New York Police Department reported that Emergency Medical Services pronounced Ivana Trump dead at the scene after finding her unresponsive

Due to the lack of evidence of foul play, the city's medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

Ivana Trump is listed as a Czechoslovakian who was raised in Gottwaldov, south of Prague, on her CMG Worldwide biography. After moving to Canada in the 1970s, she began modeling as a ski instructor.

In 1976, she met Donald Trump while on a work trip in New York. In 1977, the couple got married, according to the biography.

As well as Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka, and Eric Trump followed him in 1981 and 1984, respectively.
