Keanu Reeves Gifted ‘John Wick 4’ Stunt Crew T-Shirts That Listed the Number of Times They Died in the Movie
Keanu Reeves wanted all the stuntmen in "John Wick: Chapter 4" to fondly remember how many times they died while filming the action blockbuster.
In a new New York Times report on the filming of the sequel's memorable action scenes,
Reeves reports that he gave the stunt crew T-shirts that had the number of deaths each stuntman faced in the film. For some stunt people, that number was over 20.
Why so many death scenes for one stuntman? It's because in "John Wick: Chapter 4" stuntmen were reused in several scenes.
For the classic stair fight, in which Reeves' John Wick battles the bad guys while running up the 222 steps to the Sacré Coeur Basilica
the production used 35 stuntmen, many of whom died repeatedly in the scene.
