The outcome of Real Madrid vs. Club America is 2-2 as Karim Benzema scores the return goal.

Real Madrid vs. Club America match ends 2-2

Club America held defending European and Spanish champions Real Madrid to a 2-2 draw at Oracle Park in San Francisco despite a world-class goal from Karim Benzema.

After a quick combination with a teammate, Benzema equalized with a perfectly placed low curler after Club America took an early lead. Eden Hazard replaced the Frenchman after the first half.

Aside from Hazard, Real Madrid introduced nearly a whole new team for the second half, which ended in a 2-2 draw after penalty kicks.

Real Madrid's first goal was scored by Hazard after right back Lucas Vazquez was tackled in the box.

However, with eight minutes left in the match, former Real Madrid youth product Alvaro Fidalgo earned a penalty and converted it.

After his first attempt was saved, he scored on the second attempt, but Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin had strayed too far from his line, prompting the referee to order a retake.

After losing 2-1 to Chelsea and Manchester City in friendly matches over the past week, this result was deserved for Club America.

In Liga MX, it has one win in four games, and a game against Leon next weekend will give it some momentum.

Goals AME — Henry Martin 5th min. RMA — Karim Benzema 22nd min. RMA — Eden Hazard 55th min. AME — Alvaro Fidalgo 82nd min.
