Where to watch all three episodes of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Universe now that Netflix has shut down the show

The Vampire Diaries is no longer available on Netflix as of today, but there are still other places you can catch it.

This teen drama aired on The CW from 2009-2017, and in 2011, The CW signed a deal with Netflix to provide the series eight days after its finale.

There is an agreement that Netflix will be the exclusive streamer of the series for five years after the series finale.

WarnerMedia and ViacomCBS have decided not to renew the deal, and will instead use the original content for their own streaming platforms. HBO Max and Peacock are now streaming The Vampire Diaries.

Following the series' success, two spinoffs were created: The Originals (2013-2018) and Legacies (2018-2022). It is likely that Netflix will remove both shows when their five-year contracts expire.

This show centered on a vampire family that set out to reclaim the city they built. Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) formed a love triangle in TVD.

Legacies centers around The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted, where young witches, vampires and werewolves are nurtured away from their most villainous impulses.

Though the series ended in June, showrunner Julie Plec isn't ruling out future spinoffs. The story can always be continued, and it's really a matter of when, not if, she told TV Insider.
