Kazakstan's first Grand Slam singles winner, Rybakina became the first female player to do so. After switching nationalities in 2018, she was born in Russia.

In her seven victories at the All England Club, Rybakina dropped just two sets. In 2011, Petra Kvitova won Wimbledon at the age of 21. Rybakina is the youngest woman to win Wimbledon since then.
