It's possible that Vince McMahon's retirement announcement had an impact on tonight's episode of WWE SmackDown.
Following Vince McMahon's announcement on Twitter that he would be retiring from WWE, more information has come out regarding whether he's involved in creative processes or not.
Several sources indicate Brock Lesnar has left the building outright, since he no longer has a role in creative. Lesnar was "very pissed off" about the Vince news, according to Fightful Select.
Alvarez would add that Lesnar said something along the lines of if he's gone, I'm gone." It will be interesting to see if Lesnar returns or if this is similar to what happened to Sasha Banks and Naomi
WWE would eventually reveal they were suspended indefinitely if both stars left and did not return. Lesnar, if he does not return, may also be suspended indefinitely if he leaves.
The original plan for tonight's show included Lesnar in some way, and there was also going to be a segment about Roman Reigns locker room, but if he doesn't return, some things will have to be changed
