With one of the most highly-anticipated grappling bouts and some of the world’s top grapplers throughout the event, Who’s Number One returns to action tonight with a stacked card.
The action will be carried from Frisco, Texas, at the Sports Academy at The Star, the training facility for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League.
It is a battle between two of the greatest grapplers alive at the top of the card, as Gordon Ryan will take on Felipe Pena, one of the greatest.

As one of the best grapplers competing today, Ryan has lived up to the nickname “The King” since he won the 2019 ADCC World Championships in both the -99kg and absolute divisions, and has yet to suffer a loss since then.
Similar to this, fellow ADCC World Champion “Preguica” Pena has only lost once since he lost in the first round of the 2019 ADCC World Championship.
There has been a lot of anticipation for this match both because Pena holds two wins over Ryan and because of the bad blood that has been building leading up to tonight’s trilogy match.
In the co-main event, Nicholas Meregali continues to keep up an active year in which he is scheduled to face former Bellator middleweight champion Rafael Lovato Jr., whom many people consider to be one of the best American grapplers of all time.
Across all competitions, the 2021 IBJJF ultra heavyweight semifinalist Meregali has only been submitted once, while Lovato Jr. has returned to grappling after retiring from mixed martial arts.
Against Submission Underground veteran Alan Sanchez, the 18-year-old phenom Mica Galvao will look to continue his rampage through the grappling scene as he continues his rampage through the wrestling scene.
Both Galvao and Sanchez have recently won high-profile tournaments, namely the BJJ Stars 8 tournament, where Galvao defeated Leandro Lo in the finals, while Sanchez won the ultra-competitive EBI 19 tournament.
WNO mainstay “The Hillbilly Hammer” Jacob Couch will battle up-and-coming Jay Rodriguez as a part of the main card, along with the only women’s bout on the card featuring 22-year-old leg lock specialist Elisabeth Clay taking on multiple-time world champion Bia Mesquita.
