Savitri Jindal Is India’s Richest Woman, With A Net Worth Of $17.7 Billion.

It has been just two years since OP Jindal Group chairperson Savitri Jindal added $12 billion to her fortune, which has made her one of the richest women in India.

As a result of her lack of college education and her husband’s passing in 2005, the only time she took over his business was after his death.

After adding $12 billion to her fortune in just two years, Savitri Jindal, the chairperson of the OP Jindal Group, has added a crown to her feathers by becoming the richest woman in India by adding $12 billion to her fortune over the past two years.

At 7th place on the Forbes India’s Richest list in 2021, Savitri Jindal is the only woman on the list with a net worth of $18 billion, making her the richest woman in India.

As part of the Forbes Billionaires’ List, she is ranked 91st among the world’s richest individuals.

There has been an almost threefold increase in the wealth of Savitri Jindal over the past two years, from about $4.8 billion in 2020 to $17.7 billion in 2022, which is more than three times what it was in 2020.

Jindal’s fortune dropped by 50 percent as a result of the rising price of crude oil over the two-year period of 2019 and 2020. In 2018 her net worth was $8.8 billion; in 2019 it dropped to $5.9 billion; in 2020 it will drop to $4.8 billion.

Savitri Jindal, the leader of India’s largest steel company, made an impressive comeback with her leadership over the past two years.

There is a remarkable story to tell about the business magnate that is worthy of the world’s attention.

She was unable to attend college, but this did not stop her from paving the way for her company to be successful despite the lack of education she had.

It has been noted that the OP Jindal Group has seen its revenue grow by four times under the leadership of the matriarch of the Jindal family.

After the death of her husband, Om Prakash Jindal, in a helicopter accident in 2005, she managed to accomplish all of this in just a few years after his passing.

When Om Prakash Jindal was 55 years old, he died from a heart attack. In the following years, Savitri Jindal took over every responsibility at her husband’s business and continued to do so without any concern for her age, which for most people would be considered a time for retirement and relaxing.

It was a turnaround for the OP Jindal Group Chairperson, who was a mother and a wife, and who has been famously remembered for saying that the women of her family don’t venture out much.

During an interview with Forbes, she stated that while the women are in charge of the house, the men are responsible for everything outside the home.

As a result of OP Jindal’s death, Savitri was able to step out of the house, and as a result, she became one of the most successful women in her country and the richest woman in the country at that time.

Forbes has ranked Kiran Mazumdar as the second richest woman in India, followed by Crishna Godrej in the third spot on the list of richest women in India.

She is the mother of nine children, including four sons from her marriage to OP Jindal in the form of Prithviraj Jindal, Sajjan Jindal, Ratan Jindal, and Naveen Jindal.

A total of four sons of her husband were involved in the division of the family’s businesses following his death, with Sajjan Jindal taking over the largest assets, including JSW Steel, after his father’s passing.

As a businesswoman as well as a politician, Savitri Jindal was born in Assam’s Tinsukia in 1950. She also has a distinguished career in politics.

It was during the time of OP Jindal’s tenure as a minister of the Haryana Government that Savitri Jindal was elected to the Haryana Vidhan Sabha from the Hisar constituency.

After OP Jindal passed away in 2005, his widow Savitri Jindal was elected to the Haryana Vidhan Sabha from the same constituency.

The Indian National Congress has now accepted her as a member.
