Love Is Blind Couple Nick & Danielle Are Supposed To Divorce

In Love is Blind Season 2, Nick Thompson and Danielle Ruhl became the first couple to get engaged on the show. Unlike many of the other daters, they did not waffle between potential options; they both had their hearts set on each other from the get-go.

“It is a result of the fact that we have been able to spend hours and hours and hours getting to know each other in a way that would normally take months, if not years, in the real world,” Nick explained to me, a 35-year-old software marketer, about why he felt so confident in their relationship despite the fact that their timeline was accelerated.

Danielle, 28, felt the same way. Nick is the love of my life. I can say without a doubt that he is more than my fiancé, he is also my best friend,” she said. ‘I am so confident about the relationship that we’re going to have that I am ready to be married to him tomorrow because I’m so confident about the future. There is no way I am going to let anything stand in the way of this.”

As soon as they met face-to-face and arrived in Mexico, the couple was giddy with excitement. On their third day in paradise, Danielle became ill with a stomach bug, and during that time her insecurities began to show.

During Nick’s solo attendance of the couples’ mixer, Danielle said she remained in their room, where she sat in the closet and cried as she watched Nick attend alone.

“I don’t trust anything right now,” she told her new fiancé, leading to an argument between them. It is interesting to note that Nick walked away insisting that he was “done,” but later returned and asked Danielle to “stop the toxic behavior.”

Despite the fact that the two made up, Nick explained to the cameras that they would have ended their relationship had they met in person and had the same argument so early in their relationship if they had met in real life.

The reason they were “able to come back from” their disagreement was that they had already established a foundation and communication skills within the pods, he said, adding that “I believe that our bond grows stronger and stronger as time goes on.”

It was important for the couple to utilize those communication skills in the second half of the season as well.

In a scene in which Nick tells Danielle that if they plan to get married in two weeks, he cannot be wasting his time playing with the idea of getting married.

Then, he defensively says that he “had things going on yesterday outside of meeting [her] family.” What is Danielle’s response to that? In the end, I said to myself, “I can’t do this.”.

There was a lot of arguing between the two of them right up to the day of their wedding. Although Danielle was certain that she wanted Nick to be her husband, he admitted that getting married was more of a “game-time decision” for him because “I wasn’t 100% sure that she was 100% sure that I wanted her to be my wife,” but in the end, they both said, “I do.”

As Nick said after the wedding, “it all worked out in the way it was meant to,” he said with a smile. I am looking forward to spending the rest of my life with Nick, and I can’t wait to spend it with him.” Danielle, for her part, also commented that she is absolutely certain that Nick is the person with whom she wants to spend the rest of her life.

In her words, “This is everything I could have ever wished for.”. There is no doubt that love is blind.

The filming of the series wrapped up in spring 2021, and Danielle moved into Nick’s condo in Chicago.

However, the couple decided to take a bit of a break so that they could experience “the way a natural relationship progresses” outside of a TV series.

As Danielle recently told Bustle, “we were like, we’re married, but we should also learn how to date and go through the process as well,” she told the publication.

In the early days of their relationship, they spent most of their time getting to know each other’s family and friends, planning date nights, and traveling a lot. Danielle and Nick planned to take a “real honeymoon,” she explained, and they wanted to throw a wedding reception for all their family and friends who were unable to attend their televised wedding but still wanted to be part of things.

It is important for us to take the same steps that any other couple would take,” she said. Those are the first steps we need to take, and then we will be able to have family conversations about them. I think we should do that first and get it out of our system before we do anything else.”

As Nick mentioned, he and his girlfriend were house-hunting around Chicago for a place they could “start from scratch” and make their own. He added that before they brought some kids into the mix, they planned to “enjoy each other’s company.”.

Several months later, however, the couple has decided to change their plans. In an article published on Aug. 21, TMZ reported that Danielle had filed for divorce from Nick on Aug. 15 – just a few days before Jarrette Jones and Iyanna McNeely announced their intention to file for divorce as well.

In response to the news, people cited court documents confirming the news, but neither Nick nor Danielle responded to it online.
